Women's Suffrage in the United States

I think that the women's suffrage campaign was a great idea to get the rights for women to vote.
i belive that all people should be alowed to vote...not based on race or sex.
everyone should be heard. that is our right as americans.
Lydia Taft was also a very amazing women, the first women to be alwed to vote.
she deserved it after going through the grief of her late husband.
also i must make a point that...the law developed that a man could horsewhipp his wife
on almost all grounds to help her behave is very unacceptable.
know man should have the right to tell a women how to behave and "put her in her place".
World war 1 provided the final push for women's suffrage in america.
after president woodrow wilson announced the world war 1 was a war for democracy
women were up in arms.
On january 12,1915,a suffrage bill was brought before the house of representatives
but was defeated by a vote of 204 to 174 ect...finaly after all this fighting and voting
august 18,1920, Tennessee narrowly ratified the Nineteenth Amendment, making
it the law throughout the united states.
